The good news: George A. Romero has locked his next film. The bad news: It's not DEAD RECKONING. But don't be sad, I'm sure John Russo's next zombie opus will more than make up for it. Besides, I find bashing your head into your monitor helps quell the rage.
THE ILL is a vampire project that Romero has been planning for a number of years. P-Kino films will produce the film and IN-Motion Pictures will handle distribution outside Great Britain and the U.S.
This could be seen as Romero's first vampire film, depending on how you read MARTIN. Anyway, it will be great to see. It takes quite a bit of effort for George Romero to get anything off the ground. As I reported here , it's an injustice I feel very strongly about.
Nevertheless, Romero's got his new project. THE ILL starts filming this summer.
