According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tim Burton is returning to the stop-motion feature arena with an in-development project called THE CORPSE BRIDE. Based on a 19th-century Eastern European folk tale and scripted by Caroline (EDWARD SCISSORHANDS) Thompson, the movie is about a young man who becomes accidentally engaged to a cadaver. Burton will produce with Vinton Studios (headed by Oscar-winning animator Will Vinton), and the film will be directed by feature first-timer Mike Johnson; production will begin in November in London.
