It's official -- Miramax has announced HALLOWEEN 9. Which is no real surprise, as the Halloween franchise is still profitable, and I, for one, am hoping that it will be a better, scarier movie than last year's lackluster HALLOWEEN RESURRECTION.

I can't say I'm surprised. Furious, homicidal and throwing things around the room while shouting out a steady stream of obscenities... but not surprised. *sigh*
I don't expect this one to be any better than what Dimension has been doing to the franchise for the last few years. In truth, they're not going to bury it for good and maybe, God forbid, show the genre and the public some respect. Not unless people stop lining Miramax's pockets with their hard-earned cash.
I'm still glad that I saw HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION because I took it home for free from the video store I was working at. If I had given anyone money for that piece of shit, I don't think I could have lived with myself.
