The two OVA's (GENESIS from 1987 and DEMON BIRD SILENE from 1990) don't feature Satan as an actual character even though there's certainly hints that Ryo isn't quite what he appears to be. Of course, in the original manga, it's the demon Psycho Genie (aka Psycho Jenny) that helps Satan possess Ryo's human body. But the third anime feature, the AMON: APOCALYPSE OF DEVILMAN movie from 2000 does indeed contain Satan and his brief fight with Amon.

In case you're interested, I did start reviewing the original DEVILMAN television series. Here's the link to the first part... > CLICK HERE (http://www.horrorexpress.com/filmreview.php?id=475) <.

As for the manga, I've never seen the original 1970's GO NAGAI series translated into English. There's an Italian language set out there but that's about it. The newer GO NAGAI / YUU KINUTANI manga series titled AMON: THE DARKSIDE OF DEVILMAN has been fansubbed and it's available on cd-rom over at eBay from time to time. Other than that, here's a link to a website that has a few AMON translations...

Oh, and GLENN DANZIG (singer from THE MISFITS, SAMHAIN, and DANZIG) started a comic company called VEROTIK and he released a three issue comic series simply called DEVILMAN. This was an English translation of the original 1970's SHIN DEVILMAN (aka New Devilman Stories) which featured Devilman jumping around in time.

I wouldn't hold your breath for that. More than likely, an Asian DVD release (outside of Japan) with English subs will be your best bet to see it. Unless of course, Devilman plays at some sort of Asian film festival where you live.

There's also the 2-disc fansub bootleg DVD on eBay that you can't go wrong with if you don't wanna wait.
