Hmm odd little ghost film I watched.

Three stories, one HK, one Korean and one thai (I could hardly wait)

THe korean one was bizzare, and it was sort of predictable.

A guy is missing his wife, and everyone is worried about him. But the wife is running through the streets, I am not giving away shit cause if you dont figure out she is a ghost in the first five seconds your an idiot.

But it was sort of predictable, the actress was cute, but the scene near the end...jsut made me wonder.
Worth a look, no scares, though you might laugh at the doll at the start.
Its just oddly done, but very well acted.

then the HK story...Now this was a truly bizzare, but interesting story.
I actually really liked ALL the characters, even the kid.
Although I thought the girl, NICE BREASTS hehehehe, looked very much like the korean girl..hmm

oh well...The HK one was worth the rental fee, I mean the whole story was just beautiful, and I cant say anything that wont spoil it. Watch it cause even though you might find it a little predictable it was still well worth it to watch if for no other reason then the acting.

okay here is some questions.....didnt get the ending? the son? what the hell?
umm two HOW THE HELL DID THEY DO THAT CAR SCENE? seriously, I never figured out how caue the camera never cuts??? I want to know the cinematic trick.

Finally the Thai film..Oh wait for some reason it was cut off my tape, really it wasnt there...I was like WTF there is only two stories on THREE...but I guess editing errors strike again.

hmm no loss to me, if anyone knows the film and has seen the third part please tell me.
I am curious.

Cheers

Hey Thule818, have you checked out THREE...EXTREME yet? The three directors are Fruit Chan, Park Chan-Wook, and Takashi Miike. I really enjoyed the ones directed by Park Chan-Wook and Fruit Chan, and eventhough I enjoy Miike, I thought his was the weakest of the three.

Man, THREE and THREE EXTREMES were both high up on my import DVD buy list but when I saw that they're gonna get a good R1 release, I've since waited. From all the praise I've heard about the pair, I'm really looking forward to seeing 'em.

THREE...EXTREMES is basically a follow-up to THREE. It has three new Directors to play with, with each Director bringing his own vision to the film.

Takashi Miike
BOX - As a child, Kyoko (Kyoko Hasegawa) performed in a circus act with her sister and her stepfather (Atsuro Watabe). But after being deeply affected by her stepfathers’ favoritism towards her sister, Kyoko explodes in a fit of jealousy, ultimately leading to a tragic event that can never be forgotten. Now a young writer, Kyoko is forced to continuously contemplate her past until it finally comes back to haunt her.

Fruit Chan
DUMPLINGS - Mrs. Lee (Miriam Yeung) is feeling down and out. It’s hard getting older and she is finding that out the hard way. Desperate to try any method to reverse her aging effects and once again become beautiful to Mr. Lee (Tony Leung Ka Fei), Mrs. Lee seeks out Mei (Bail Ling), who claims her special dumplings have magical effects. But is Mrs. Lee prepared to find out what the main ingredient of Mei’s dough-wrapped delicacies is?

Park Chan-Wook
CUT – A director (Lee Byung Hun) who seems to have it all is forced to appreciate the value of his surroundings after he and his wife (Gang Hye Jung) are taken captive and tortured by an old face from his past. With no one to help, the young auteur can only rely on himself to escape his horrifying dilemma in one piece.
