Yeah, this smells like a January release. New Line Cinema has pushed back the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE remake, originally slated for release this October. It will now be released on January 16, 2004.

No word on why the film is being delayed, but word has it that the film is going through reshoots. To be fair, reshoots are common in studio films these days.

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE is, of course, a remake of the 1974 classic. The remake will star Jessica Biel (7TH HEAVEN, THE RULES OF ATTRACTION), Eric Balfour (24, VERITAS: THE QUEST), Jonathan Tucker (THE DEEP END, THE VIRGIN SUICIDES) and R. Lee Ermey (FULL METAL JACKET, R. LEE ERMEY'S MAIL CALL).

Well it's already been released but it's called HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES.

Or is that the TCM 2 remake?
