hey come on now anyone read and want to chat about the walking dead comic series so freakin good...just picked up the latest issue, i think 18...here in the Philippines man it was freakin wicked cool.

anyhow i wont spoil shit, but any biters would love to story chat..and about how much i hope the prison boy gets his head freakin blown off...hmmm..and anyone else find the old man young girl relationship freakin creepy.
and all this hugging and shit, jsut start killing hehehe.

Rick is the main character's name, the former police officer. But I don't agree that he's a dick. Sure, he does some things that I might not do myself if I were in their situation but all in all, he's the rational, thinking guy you probably need in charge. And recently, he's been letting his "dark side" out alittle so he's not a true blue boy scout through and through, ya know.

And I certainly don't blame him for the deaths in the prison so far. I think that if the prison is defended and fortified properly, it would make a excellent home. Of course, I probably would have gone a different route with the inmates, or taken a vote with the group as to what to do with them in the first place. Hardened convicts, ya just can't trust 'em, no matter what.

But yes, I do agree with you about Rick's wife. She's really starting to get on my nerves too. Not only that, she also adds extra stress to Rick's life and that's not good for everyone involved. God knows what's gonna hit the fan if she tells Rick it's actually Shane's baby. Imagine the mess that's gonna cause.

Well, not that the prisoners probably like calling it their "home". They were incarcerated and forced to live there to begin with, ya know.

But basically, my belief is that hardened convicts and criminals were disfunctional in regular society, hence why they're locked away in prison. Who's to say that once set free, they'll act any differently than before whether there's a zombie outbreak or not. Wouldn't this be their prefect world? To go and come, and do as they all damn well pleased without any worries about laws and the such?

Again, I think you're risking everything by trusting them so take precautions and keep them under constant observation.

I'll have to go back and re-read the early issues and see whether or not Rick's wife told him that she and Shane had slept together before he arrived. I remember Dale (that's the older dude who's hooked up with the young chick you're so upset about) telling Rick that he thought something was up between the two but Rick didn't really take it seriously.

I would have executed those prisoners in their cell straight goods, i know that shits harsh,...but then woman to man ratio is low....so i would just start offing the fuckers and see what comes.

At least my girl, filipina, agrees..she said off the bastards...Ahhh..the love of a good woman, cant beat it...my wife wouldnt be giving me grief, she would be handing me a gun...lol.

After pulling out the early issues, you can easily find the scene where Lori tells Rick she's pregnant but what she doesn't tell him is that she actually slept with Shane. Rick believes it's gonna be his baby.

Before and later, Dale confronts Rick and tells him that Lori and Shane were alittle too "friendly" before he arrived to camp but Rick explains that it just Shane looking after his wife, nothing more. However, in the back of his mind, he remembers the crap Shane was spouting right before he died. He certainly has the notion that Shane loved his wife but the thought of her giving in and sleeping with his best frind is outta the question to him. Rick then tells Dale to drop the whole idea because he says he trusts his wife completely and that's that.

So, Rick could very well suspect that maybe the pair were a tad too "friendly" in his absence but I really don't think he honestly believes his wife would cheat on him. Oh, it's gonna be a spectacle when he finally finds out, let me tell ya.

If you do seek out the series, I'd recommend going with the trade paperbacks instead of tracking down the individual issues. Not only will this save you LOTS of money (some of the actual issues sell for a pretty penny, assuming you can even find them to begin with), but the trades are easy to find, collect alot in a single volume (so you don't have to keep digging various issues out), and are constructed well to extended their shelf life.

Also, you don't need to keep the trades in a special sacred spot so they won't get damaged (thus destroying their resale value). I mean, they're never going to worth any money so read 'em as you like, let your buddies borrow 'em, throw 'em at your girlfriend, use 'em to prop open a door. Whatever. It doesn't matter.

There is one thing I'm disappointed with about the trades. They never collect the original covers from the monthly issues in them into a gallery at the back. That sucks because artist TONY MOORE is absolutely fantastic.

Anyway, there's three volumes currently available which reprint issues #1 to #18. And the newest monthly comic is #19 (I think it hits comic shops next week).

The last few pages show the group out in the prison yard when the convicts turn up with the guns and demand that they all leave.

As for Rick, he's probably just assuming that his wife has been faithful the whole time. As I said on another post, he definitely knew Shane wanted more from Lori but she hasn't given Rick any reason to doubt her yet.

Really though, if Rick had any true suspicions, why doesn't he simply outright ask her if she and Shane had messed around together, ya know.
