Yeah, FEARDOTCOM was in the bottom 100 on the IMDB when I wrote my review. Personally, I don't see what the big fuss is about. I liked FEARDOTCOM as you can see here. (http://www.horrorexpress.com/filmreview.php?id=126)
Even if most didn't care for it as much as I did, I certainly think one FEARDOTCOM is worth a dozen HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTIONS. But again, that's just me. :D

Cool, I just read through the review and am definately going to check this film out. Its been on the top shelf next to the door of our rental store for a while, and its been tmepting, but I never even read the cover. Though I have to say that 3 Blind Mice (Starring Edward Furlong) had definately put me off internet based horror/thrillers... it's :censored:

I agree with SCOTT, I think I enjoyed FEAR DOT COM more than it actually deserved.

It had actors that could have worked for it (ie: Jefferey Combs, Udo Kier, and Stephen Rea). It had a good story idea that could have worked too (definitely familiar territory from Asian spook movies like RINGU, THE PHONE, and KAIRO aka THE PULSE).

But I felt that it just couldn't pull everything off in one complete package. It's certainly watchable with some really cool scenes but it doesn't ever break the boundaries to take that one step foward to set it's own mark in the horror movie book of films you're likely to remember, if that makes sense.

I'm glad I am not the only one who liked this movie. It has some faults, but it is watchable. Actually the more I watch it, the more I like it. B)

my girlfriend liked the movie and talked me into picking it up, but to be honest the first time we watched it together i dont think i even made it to the end. but after reading Scott's review, im going to watch it later today and see if i can subjectively enjoy it. i figure if i give up and dont make it to the end again, its not worth the watch, haha.

fear.com was a stupid movie. The story line was weak the acting was bad and it wasn't scary!!! i hated this movie and would totally recommend every person to STAY AWAY from this movie!! it was so stupid!

I agree with Twizted here... the acting was really scary.

I recently saw this because it was on cable. When I saw the preview, I thought it was promising, but then it just disappointed me. It was a good premise but they didn't get it right. It just seemed violent and not scary.

And if you type FEAR.COM, you get to a blog that says "Because we think it's pretty scary that your phone records aren't private." Now, that beats the movie...
