Just wanted to let you guys out there know that if any of you read the webzine CultCuts, you'll probably see me around. In addition to my writing and editing duties here, I've started writing reviews for CultCuts, the first four of which appeared there last week. The films I took on were THE CHRISTMAS SEASON MASSACRE, .COM FOR MURDER, UNSAVORY CHARACTERS and a ten pack called TALES OF TERROR. But really and honestly, you should go through as many reviews there as possible. For a few years now, I've found the site absolutely invaluable.

The site is run by Mark Engle and you should be aware of their print magazine. They just released their second issue and the magazine is really one of the best on the market. It's filled with reviews, articles and interviews that you just aren't going to get anywhere else.

So, if you want to read my reviews, anyone elses or order yourself the CultCuts print magazine, head on over to CultCuts (http://www.cultcuts.net)

Okay, plug over.

Congrats on the new gig, Scott! Sounds very cool . . . .

I've been meaning to subscribe to CULTCUTS for quite some time, and you just gave me one more reason to do so. Love your reviews on here . . . .

Anyway, keep up the good work!

Rock on,

James N.

Excellent Scott.

Been waiting for these for a while. When I find a spare minute or ten I'll sit down with a hot cup of coffee and read the whole bunch.

Let's do a fullon job of pimping them though, you've more than earned all the kudos.

So without further ado I present the review linkage from the one, the only, the irreplaceable Scott W Davis.:D

Awwwww shucks! Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. Looks like more reviews will be up on CultCuts in the next week or so and it looks like I'll be continuing to work with them. Of course, I'll be still working heavily on Horror Express as well.

I echo what I said before. CultCuts, although presently bigger than Horror Express, has something in common. They're both made up of great people and real friends to the genre. I'm thankful to everyone at both sites for putting up with me and making me part of the gang.

Tomorrow the world!

(Meant to reply to this four weeks ago! Bad John, very bad.)

I can recall when I had the idea for HE, back in October. Not having done much horror surfing then I figured it would be like NFL surfing - no good fan sites to speak of. Going on a competition scouting mission I was soon suprised by not only the quantity of large fan sites, but also (in some notable cases) the quality. If I'd known what I was getting into back then I may have thought twice and opted for an area where there was a little less competition. I'm damn glad I didn't.

The (online) Horror genre is incredibly fortunate to have so many knowledgeable, intelligent, hard working fans like yourself.

I really look forward to the future, overcoming my genre ignorance, making Horror Express all it can be, and continuing to work with great people like yourself Scott.
