This is good news, folks. If you can stand to wait that long, people in North America will get a fantastic DVD release of VERSUS on July 29th.
VERSUS features samurais, zombies, gun battles, zombies, Sam Raimi-inspired madness and more zombies for two solid hours. And it doesn't let up for a second.
As if the release wasn't good enough, the people in Region 1 will also get a boat load of extras on the two-disc set.
DISC ONE: An anamorphic transfer with both subtitled and dubbed audio (including a DTS track), a Kitamura commentary in English and a cast commentary in subtitled Japanese.
DISC TWO: Feature(s) a subtitled Japanese making-of featurette, a different English-language documentary, an interview with the editor, video clips from the movie?s premiere, three trailers and the NERVOUS mini-movie.
The DVD will be released by Media Blasters. There will be a small theatrical release, much like the one they had for . The VERSUS theatrical release includes a few dates at Seattle's Grand Illusion theatre in May. No word on whether it will fall under the Shriek Show or Tokyo Shock banner.
