filmmaking. Many good films make less and still others don't even make
it to U.S. theatres. But holy shit - ALONE IN THE DARK opened in 14th
place with only $2.5 million! Hell, it looks like it's only taking in
$600,000 on Sunday. That's just fucking pathetic.

I haven't seen ALONE IN THE DARK yet, but I do agree that Christian Slater is cool and needs better roles, and like all the others, I will probably check it out when it hits dvd. As for HOUSE OF THE DEAD, I can't take a movie seriously, especially when that movie has ravers fighting off zombies in bullet-time while doing martial arts.

i was playing House of the Dead 3 on my xbox and it has a trailer for the film on it. Watching the trailer the film itself does look fairly good, only because the trailer shows of all those bullet time moments, but like DM said it's those moments that gives the film it's "charm" but they don't make the film watchable. But it still can be saved i think, if a squel is made it should stick closer to the game.

As for Alone in the Dark i haven't even seen a trailer for it yet. I've seen a couple of pictures. But i'm still gonna wait for it to come out to rent seeing as it seems to be bombing at an incredible rate.

Uwe Boll is an talentless hack, who's done nothing through the years then taking decent video games and publically rapes them on the cinema screen. And theres nothing to like about him anyway, he's an egomaniac and insists that his films are masterpieces, and even calls himself better than other directors who have made movies way more successful than his own, he even makes Ed Wood looks like an semi-descent director. And now he's already in stage of possibly making Metal Gear Solid into an film, and then may the lord have mercy on our souls.
