reports that the man himself will be arriving in Los Angeles to sign autographs at the Dark Delicacy Bookstore. The event is to take place on Saturday, March 15th from 2:00-4:00.
If you look to the right, you will see a portrait made up for one of the future films. Meanwhile, here's what had to say about the new projects:
"In a significant career development, Paul Naschy will be arriving in Los Angeles this March to shoot two films - COUNTESS DRACULA'S ORGY OF BLOOD, directed by Donald F. Glut, and THE UNLIVING, helmed by cult movie director Fred Olen Ray. For Glut's film, Naschy will play the role of 'Padre Jacinto,' a priest from 19th Century California, who haunts a resurrected vampire, Lord Ruthven, in contemporary Los Angeles. For Fred Olen Ray's film, Naschy will be returning to his legendary role of Waldemar Daninsky; cult-fave 'scream queen' Michelle Bauer will play Elizabeth Bathory-Nadasdy ( HE Note: Apparantly named after a couple of his former foes, interesting ). Make-up people are developing an appropriate 'el hombre lobo' look that will be true to Naschy's previous appearances as the wolfman."
If you are unfamilar with the films of Paul Naschy, I suggest you check him out immediately. They are about the most fun you can have with a classic-styled horror movie. They throw everything into these but the kitchen sink and here's hoping these American films follow suit.
To find out more about Paul Naschy, I would recommend his autobiography, MEMOIRS OF A WOLFMAN.
