This movie was actually pretty good, all these reviews about "Don’t see it" probably don't even know the plot of Devilman, and I have to agree you won't understand what is happening unless you have seen the anime. This is why the live action was made, for us hardcore fans.
Yet, The CGI is pretty good, not quite as good (As Devilman said) as Lord of the rings.
It is a little rushed, around ten minutes into the film and he becomes Devilman, there are no Attitude or personality changes at all. Also this movie is missing one major part... Amon. It should really have that bit that was included in Amon Apocalypse Of Devilman, Akira loosing it, and letting the demon inside him loose.
There wasn't really enough of Silene, though, she talked to Akira, had a small fight for 2 minutes, and then disappears and we do not hear from her again.
There are some random bits that were chucked in just for the sake of it, such as; Ryo cutting off this guys fingers with a giant pair of scissors (Crazy, I know).
But, nowhere in the film does it explain where the demons came from, or their origins, or past. Akira just listens to a video log of Ryo's father talking about Cells in Antarctica, and how they are Demons. It doesn't explain anything more. He then, goes there... And gets a huge translucent sphere soar into his stomach, I would like it more if it was more like the OAV, they purposely tried to get possessed, and it wasn't a oversized "cell" I liked the spirit idea more.
The music through out the film is appalling; it is the same music all the way through Devilman (Excluding the credits). Even in fights it is the sort of Romantic music. But, I personally, think all unedited Japanese films are like this.
But still, Devilman is a great flick, with an outstanding at the end.
The movie deserves minimum an 6/10 rating.
It certainly has, lived up to the name of:
Devilman

I changed the rating from the post in the live action thread, I changed my mind... The acting and lack on explanations dragged it down a bit.
