Is it a good thing or a bad thing, plus some say "WRITER" what's up with that?

well the WRITER part would be the ppl who made this site, and as for the level thing, dont let it bother you, im here to talk to other ppl who have the passion for horror films as myself :D LOL the level part isn't a concern of mine and i dont think it is to the other ppl who use this forum. :)

Raven has pretty much summed it up.

It's just a whole "Post Count Level" thing. And the titles that go with them. Them crap titles have been on here since the board (and site) started, and unless someone else can come up with something better (which wouldn't be hard) I guess they'll have to stay. I don't think that feature actually can be easily removed.

A lot of sites have things like that, and including custom titles when you reach a certain number of posts. I guess it's supposed to be an incentive to post. I don't think anyone has quite reached the number of required posts, at least no non-staff anyway.
And yes the WRITER thing is all Staff who are not me, or Scott. Just so you know who contributes to the sites main page content.

Is it a good or bad thing? I don't think it's much of either tbh. Give me some suggestions for title names and I'll change it to something better. B)

It's kinda silly but maybe relate the "level" names to something like a killing spree with little tiny hatchets, blood drops, or skulls in the place of the blue blocks? You could even rename 'em to wacky things like...

1. Innocent Bystander (newbie poster)
2. Just Another Victim (2nd level)
3. Wanted Murderer (3rd level)
4. Rampaging Serial Killer (4th level)
5. Horror Icon (a posting god)

How many different levels are there anyway?

Cheers Steve. Really that's a much better idea than the current ones that have been on since forever, and never were any good. We'll hopefully get some input from people and I'll change them.

That bit is pretty much customisable. I can set how many levels they are, and what post count it takes to reach each level. So however many we can come up with can be accomodated. Also I can set the post count required to set your own title.

I've been thinking and come up with a couple of ideas since.

One idea is Lovecraftian titles.
Deep One
Shambler
Shoggoth
etc.
Which would allow us to use names of the Old Ones for the custom titles.
If we this I've got dibs on the Big C. :teeth:


Otherwise just classic monsters. But we'd need some grades that made sense.
